Rendering and exporting 16-bits-per-channel filesAfter Effects 5.5 can read and write 16-bits-per-channel color depth to some QuickTime codecs. Trillions of Colors is enabled in the Output Module dialog box if a selected QuickTime codec supports 16 bits per channel. Contact the specific video hardware or codec manufacturer for more information concerning that product's support of 16 bits per channel. Also, see the After Effects 5.5 Readme file for information concerning the codecs that support 16 bits per channel. After Effects also exports the following files in 16-bits-per-channel format: Maya IFF, SGI, and RLA/RPF. After Effects no longer exports Amiga IFF files. Amiga files, however, may still be imported. For information on the 16-bits-per-channel files that After Effects imports, see Using the new import options. |
